AntiSpam Techniques

We take great measures to protect our customers from Spam and other hazardous emails entering their inbox. Read about a few of these steps below.

Preventing Spam

Before an email makes it to your WebMail inbox, it must first pass through a gauntlet of filters and Remote Black List look-ups to ensure that the email is safe and from a valid sender.

Scanning the Message
Our servers are set to scan the Sender, the Subject, the X-Mailer, and the Body of every message that passes through. If any of these fields contain information that matches our filter list of suspicious content, the email is immediately quarantined and then moved to your 'trash' folder.

Scanning the Sender (Remote Black Lists)
After each message is scanned and filtered using the method above, each message is then double-checked against the Remote Black List (RBL) servers that are constantly updated with the addresses of known spammers and networks.

Professional Review
To ensure that we do everything we can to prevent unsolicited email from ever making it to your inbox, our technicians routinely review the mail server and update message filter settings, banned senders, and blocked messages.

Nothing's Perfect

Although we take all these precautions to prevent spam, we all know that nothing is perfect. Spammers are constantly trying new methods, making it increasingly difficult to predict which messages are in fact spam, and which ones are legitimate emails. This is where you come in...
